Families spends over $200 per month on technology but very little to manage it.

A new study finds the average family spends $204 per month on technology and very little to manage it. And yet only 37 minutes of quality time together a day. We spend so much money and time with technology. And why wouldn’t we? Technology is a wonderful thing. It helps educate, entertain, and foster our kids’ talents. The trick is finding a healthy balance with the screens in our lives. And with that to what extent does screen time take from quality family time? We’re willing to spend $204 per month on technology. But how much to manage it? What would you spend to help manage how much time your child spends on his or her device? How much would you pay to spend more time with you kids? Families spend more time together when screen time is managed, and devices are out of sight.

TechDen helps do just that. It’s an app + a smart charging station that manages screen time that also securely stores and charges devices. With TechDen you set and establish screen time limits. When it’s not a time to use your device it simply goes in The Den, where it’s stored, charging and most importantly: locked and inaccessible.

When devices are in The Den kids don’t even think about wanting to use it. Instead they find themselves spending more time with family, experiencing more face-to-face interactions, outdoor play and physical activity.

TechDen’s unique approach is effective for encouraging positive emotional health by reducing screen time and creating more family time. Additionally, TechDen teaches healthy tech habits by establishing a predictable routine that works with a reward system to reinforce positive behavior. Just like we teach our kids healthy eating habits it’s more important than ever before to teach healthy tech habits too. The app helps hold us to the screen time rules we set as parents. Keeping devices in The Den helps keep devices out of sight and out of mind.
